Recognizing the Timberwolf Project

"In many cases, contest giveaway cars tend to be regular-production versions, maybe with an aftermarket add-on or a special color scheme. Our Timber Wolf C2 project car was one notable exception."

RECENT PROJECTS

We're honored that we were chosen to undertake a significant project to build the TimberWolf Corvette project car. This unique "Vette Rod" build was covered from start-to-finish in seven consecutive issues of Corvette Fever Magazine in 2007 and 2008. Visit our Trade Press coverage for detailed reading, photos, and downloadable copies of these great articles from Corvette Fever Magazine.

Our thanks! to Corvette Fever and Jerry Heasley.

Our recent completion of a body-off, frame-up, NCRS-correct restoration of a sparkling 1954 Corvette earned NCRS Top Flite designation with a 98.2 score in an NCRS judging event in Tucson, AZ in October 2008 -- we consciously sacrified a few judging points in order to deliver body and paint quality which exceeded the level originally delivered from the factory.

Another success! This priceless 1953 Corvette actually arrived at our shop as a "basket case" in five pickup truck loads. Following more than a year of TLC at Corvette Restoration AZ, this spectacular classic earned NCRS Top Flite recognition in October 2009 with an unprecedented score of 99.7! We are pleased for our client's award, and equally pleased that we've returned a classic example of the All-American Sports Car to automotive history.

Far beyond a frame-off restoration, we purpose-built Dana Woudenberg's spectacular 1969 Camaro for the Copperstate 1000 race. We hand-crafted this custom classic from the ground up using only the original convertible body. The high-tech chassis, air suspension, 650HP 572ci powerplant, Tremec 6-speed transmission, and Currie race rear were all carefully crafted to deliver the ultimate competitor for the 2009 Copperstate 1000. It ran in the lead pack throughout the race and has since won numerous show awards.

This rare 1960 "big brake fuelie" factory race car logged over 100 race wins in the day by east-coast driver Steve Elfenbein, and is the cornerstone of my own Corvette collection. It was featured in Corvette Fever magazine in August 2008. You can often see this great vintage racer at shows, cruising, and other classic car events in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area.

We're not just craftsmen -- we're collectors and enthusiats like you!

At CorvetteRestorationAZ, we're deeply involved in all aspects of the automotive industry. Among things, we're frequent participants in professional photo shoots, providing cars and services to make them a success. This shot of Jerry Heasley photographing Laurie "Tex" Schwab's unique 1965 black-on-black midyear coupe was taken during a photo shoot in October 2008.
